Bigger Guns

This card might be THE ONE card you need when going against Prophecies if you’re not running a deck that allows access to cards like Eradicator Epidemic Virus or Naturia Beast. It is easy to see how Anti-Spell Fragrance is comparable to one-card-kill cards like Soul Drain, Macro Cosmos, and more. When going against Prophecies it is pretty common to encounter problems which make cards like Thunder King Raioh sub-par due to their readiness towards such obvious threats even though theoretically T-King is one of the best solution for Prophecy's broken plays (Spellbook of Power, Injection Fairy Lily, Toon Gemini Elf, and Breaker are all convenient answers.)  Also to highlight, Mind Crush is not nearly as useful as many think if that card is the back-up plan you have in mind and to be honest Droll & Lock Bird doesn’t do THAT much against Prophecies. Sure you get to slow them down a turn but if you can’t dictate the pace completely there really isn’t much you can do to stop magic mania from overturning the board (siding in more hate kills your deck consistency in a way.) So, if you are looking for that one card that might well put you in the driver’s seat try out Anti-Spell Fragrance. Doubt not Prophecy is public enemy number one as of now. Thank you for dropping by!

  1. How about Imperial Iron Wall? I've never seen anyone say anything bout it. That card can stop Highpriestess from shooting, fate from banishing and Justice from searching. If taken away all of these then I believe Prophecy is not as strong as it is.

    1. Taking away their cards' main function does seem more convincing to me. Not going to discredit Imperial Iron Wall at all but it doesn't stop Divine Judgment from activating and subsequently Special Summoning stuff like Breaker or Lily that could pose a bigger problem. In a way, Anti-Spell Fragrance paralyzes Prophecies' more. However, we all know the main weaknesses of Continuous Traps.

    1. If you don't like back-row hate wrecking your day, Chaos Hunter is the more likely choice.

    1. I admit i wasn't aware of Bubble Crash. It looks promising. Thank you for sharing! Problem with Dark Simorgh is it doesn't fit into every deck i suppose.

Yeah, IIW works better against Incarnate Dragons.
