Digitalist Profile 8

Back when Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy was released I was really looking forward to try out a particular archetype of theirs and thus played around with Burning Knuckler. Ultimately, the deck doesn’t have enough cards to make it proper competitive material but I can assure you that it is a very casual deck to pilot. Much like Verz, Dino Rabbits or other beat-oriented decks, Burning Knuckler excels in such strategies. Without further ado, here’s the build I messed around with:

MAIN DECK:

Verz Thunderbird x3
Photon Thrasher x3
Effect Veiler x3
Burning Knuckler-Switchhitter x3
Burning Knuckler-Glassjaw x3
Burning Knuckler-Headgear x3
Burning Knuckler-Counterblow x2
(Monsters-20)

Mystical Space Typhoon x3
Forbidden Lance x2
Reinforcement of the Army x1
Book of Moon x1
Heavy Storm x1
Foolish Burial x1
Monster Reborn x1
(Spells-10)

Bottomless Trap Hole x2
Torrential Tribute x2
Fiendish Chain x2
Safe Zone x2
Solemn Warning x1
Solemn Judgment x1
XYZ Reborn x1
(Traps-11)

EXTRA DECK:

Burning Knuckler-Restrained Barbaric Soldier Leadblow x3
Heroic Champion Excalibur x1
Armor Ninja-Blade Heart x1
Lavalval Chain x1
Daigusto Emeral x1
Maestroke the Symphony Djinn x1
Number 105: Burning Knuckler-Meteoric Cestus x1
Number 106: Huge Rock Palm, Giant Hand x1
Number 50: The Black Corn x1
Terrorfang Direwolf x1
Gem-Knight Pearl x1
Gagaga Gunman x1
A.O.J Catastor x1

STANDARD STRATEGY:

Make Lavalval Chain and drop BK-Switchhitter into the Graveyard to recycle it using BK-Glassjaw. This deck plays a strong power game whereby you make Leadblow and sit on it while it becomes a massive 3800 ATK monster.  Not to mention, BK-Switchhitter acts as this deck’s BF-Blizzard to give you easy access to Leadblow or Cestus. However, it is best to rely only on BK-Leadblow to control the board (in my opinion.)

TECHS:

PHOTON THRASHER

I don’t like Burning Knuckler-Spar’s restriction so I sub it with Thrasher. This card makes the deck much more flexible to go into generic Rank 4 instead of only spamming Leadblow.  All and all, Thrasher is a more reliable card and also a one-card-answer to problem cards like Thunder King Raioh or whatnot. At the very least, Thrasher bait threats better compared to BK-Spar and comes with a huge 2100 body.

VERZ THUNDERBIRD

A pesky run-around-monster that ensures presence on the board and not to mention it is a strong floater that packs 1950 ATK when you draw bull. Verz Thunderbird, like Photon Thrasher, also gives the deck easier access towards generic Rank 4 monsters when you need them. Run when there is danger, next turn Normal Summon BK-Headgear to plus or BK-Glassjaw to hurt your opponent, and then go into your choice of Rank 4.

FORBIDDEN LANCE

Because Compulsory Evacuation Device is a thing and a bitch! We all know how much damage Lance does in a beatdown oriented deck.

SAFE ZONE

Elevates BK-Leadblow’s reputation of being one hell of a living nightmare and Safe Zone sometimes acts an effective trade when your opponent tries to blind snipe your back-rows.

XYZ REBORN

A random revival tech that comes in handy to potentially aid a massive push or bring back laugh-in-your-face monsters like Maestroke.

Alright kids, this is all I have for today. The Extra Deck is mumbo-jumbo feel free to experiment with it. Burning Knucklers are fun to play with and can be a casual deck if you are currently looking for one. It is not extensively expensive to build as well in the OCG and you really only need BK-Leadblow as your killer. As always remember to play smart, fight hard, or go home a loser! Thank you for dropping by!
